The Hilti Ferroscan FS 10 is a revolutionary piece of machinery. It uses specialist sensors to pick up magnetic rays from reinforcement bars located in concrete slabs. Using the easy-to-view monitor analysis of the rebar, calculating the diameter and depth can be done quickly on site. If more accurate results are needed, to show a client, for instance, then the easy-to-use computer software can perform a more detailed analysis to work from.
 
The benefits of using a Ferroscan on construction sites today are to provide vital information on structural sections of a building, for example, a load bearing column.

Due to current legislation and basic Health & Safety, the cutting of/through rebar in structural components is forbidden. Compromises can be made, and with the help of drilltec and our Ferroscan Technician, a complete survey can be compiled of all reinforced concrete components. Hole locations can be decided based upon the information gained, and pilot holes can be done - all available before a drilling team arrive on-site.
