Health & Safety

Nothing is more precious than human life, which is why at Drilltec Diamond Drilling we take our compliance with health and safety legislation – and not only the full training of our staff but constant booster training too – very seriously. All of our staff are fully aware of the risks they will face in the work that they do and, more importantly, how to avoid them. We also provide our clients with this information so that all involved can be well-versed in what our health and safety procedures involve.

The greatest risk to health and safety in our profession stems from the high vibrations our staff are subjected to when controlling heavy drilling and sawing machinery, namely in the form of Vibration White Finger (VWF) or Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) syndrome. We combat this by adhering to the strict HAV legislation that dictates how long an individual can safely operate a high vibration tool before putting themselves and others at risk.

Ultimately, we work to implement all relevant health and safety regulations in our work in accordance with the HSE governing body. We are also CHAS and ISO9002 accredited, meaning we have been recognised for our exacting stance on health and safety in the workplace.
